Yesterday was an exciting day for the Jordan Brand Classic National and International Teams. For the National Team, the day began with a tour of the Joe Gibbs Racing facility in Huntersville, North Carolina. J.D. Gibbs and Team Jordan athlete Denny Hamlin gave the team a tour of the garage where car chiefs and mechanics were hard at work. After the tour, the players headed outside to experience a pit-stop demonstration. Denny Hamlin's pit crew, decked out in Jordan Brand gear, showed the players their skills and teamwork by demonstrating mechanical adjustments, repairs and tire changes before letting the players try it out themselves.
In the afternoon, the National and International players got to practice with their teams for the first time. Breaking up into East and West squads, the players went through fundamentals, drills and set plays before finishing with full-speed scrimmages.
The day concluded with a 2K Sports video game challenge and bowling event at Strikecity in downtown Charlotte. Nerlens Noel dominated the 2K12 challenge defeating J.P. Tokoto in a tightly contested overtime match in the final round.
The Jordan Brand Classic will be nationally televised live on ESPN on Saturday, April 14.
