&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 1.6em;"&gt;Koston&amp;rsquo;s fascination for&amp;nbsp;the fairway continues with a new limited footwear release: the&amp;nbsp;Nike Koston 2 IT. The streamlined shoe&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 13px; line-height: 1.6em;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;features an adapted Koston 2 upper in&amp;nbsp;sleek black leather and incorporates Nike Golf&amp;rsquo;s groundbreaking &amp;ldquo;Integrated Traction&amp;rdquo; technology with Nike SB&amp;rsquo;s world-class Swingtip outsole. Lightweight and comfortable, the Nike Koston 2 IT maps out foot pressure via Lunarlon inserts and adjusts the flexible spikes accordingly to provide traction, relieving the wearer from&amp;nbsp;having to walk around on hard spikes at all times.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Screaming onto the course in Tiger-inspired Sunday Red, is&amp;nbsp;the Nike Koston 2 Spike/ The&amp;nbsp;modified Koston 2 upper from the athlete&amp;#39;s latest Nike SB signature shoe is placed atop a tour-level Lunar Control golf spike outsole. Created specially for Koston, the shoe&amp;nbsp;boasts waterproof construction and&amp;nbsp;features an embossed snakeskin outer and liner.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Nike Koston 2: The Legend Grows</title>

&lt;p&gt;Did you hear about Koston? Skateboarding has come a long way in the last two decades, but in his twentieth year as a pro, Eric Koston is still the cause of conversation. As a skater&amp;#39;s skater, competition champion, street pioneer and relentless innovator, the legend keeps growing.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Playing on the hushed tones that tricks like his 360 flip frontside noseblunt slide were spoken in, for the Nike Koston 2 campaign Eric performs a ledge trick that becomes fodder for word-of-mouth gossip, and soon grows to legendary status thanks to an all-star cast.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Eric&amp;#39;s no stranger to storytelling,&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;blockquote&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;quot;I thought it was funny because it&amp;rsquo;s what happens but we took it to another level. We made it a little more slapstick. These rumors do start and spread and then you find out it&amp;rsquo;s not true.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It&amp;#39;s a trick so revered that the gossip goes global, starting with Nike Skateboarding team riders Sean Malto to Ishod Wair at ground zero. From there, it endures a language change to reach Brazilian footballer Neymar as his famous mane is styled. Making it back to the Nike SB team, Paul Rodriguez learns of Eric&amp;rsquo;s feat through a talkative dentist. Kyrie Irving explains his version in the middle of practice, and even Allyson Felix joins the gossip during training &amp;mdash; Ending with another sport legend, Tiger Woods, as he exits a grocery store &amp;mdash; it&amp;rsquo;s clear the legend that is Eric Koston has no end in sight.&lt;/p&gt;

Koston&amp;nbsp;and Nike Skateboarding worked closely during the creative process.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;quot;We go back and forth the entire time until it&amp;rsquo;s done &amp;mdash; until we can&amp;rsquo;t tweak it any more basically. I&amp;rsquo;ll print out a design and start sketching on it or shoot a photo and send it back. &lt;p&gt;Few shoes take punishment like those made for skate, and Koston puts his signature models through the ringer. Extreme force, abrasion and 360 degree contact are all part of the daily routine but when you need board feel, flexibility and precision movement on top of that, things get a bit more difficult.&amp;nbsp;A union of durability and style, the Koston 2 merges skate shoe needs with running shoe insights. Thanks to Eric himself, increased ventilation and comfort were where not to be compromised.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;blockquote&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;quot;The breathability was something I wanted to add, because the Koston 1 didn&amp;rsquo;t focus on that. Fit was another concern with me and I wanted it to fit better with an inner booty that&amp;rsquo;s all connected to the tongue as one piece so it fits snugly.&amp;quot; - Eric Koston&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;/blockquote&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Inspired by Eric&amp;#39;s interest in the Nike LunarGlide+ running shoes, the support was also drastically augmented, decreasing the likelihood of heel rub and the blisters that come with it. As Koston notes, &amp;quot;The heel counter was another part of the fit. There&amp;rsquo;s a heel counter hidden under the suede.&amp;nbsp;That&amp;rsquo;s another technical feature and there&amp;rsquo;s a mesh window to give it some flex so when the heel crashes, the heel counter is designed to stay at the point of your foot where it should be at all times.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The heel counter also helps to lock in the foot, &amp;quot;You see guys bail and their shoes go flying off. With my shoe you can tie loose but yet designed to stay on your foot.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;What did manage to remain on the 2&lt;sup&gt;nd&lt;/sup&gt; generation Koston was the Nike Lunarlon sockliner, delivering dynamic cushioning to help absorb any impact. This go around the sockliner has been anatomically redesigned allowing 360&amp;ordm; support and protection keeping your ankles safer during primo landings. Lastly, zonal flex grooves have been added to an updated tread pattern to increase longevity and flexibility during tricks.&amp;nbsp;A clean toecap constructed with TPU reinforced suede enhances&amp;nbsp;durability.&lt;/p&gt;

The store is located on the fifth floor of Joy City shopping center in the Xidan district, the heart of the city&amp;rsquo;s skateboarding community. At 110 square meters, it&amp;rsquo;s Nike&amp;rsquo;s largest action sports store in Greater China. Shoppers will find a full range of the latest Nike action sports footwear and apparel.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="left"&gt;"Skateboarding is growing quickly in China, and there are many fans of the sport in the Xidan area,&amp;rdquo; said Jason Zhu, GM, Nike Action Sports in Greater China. &amp;ldquo;We chose this location to be closer to the skate communities. Many top athletes are already fans of Nike Skateboarding, and the new store will continue to bring Chinese skaters the most advanced products and best services available."&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="left"&gt;Nike Skateboarding athletes Eric Koston and Sean Malto attended the opening ceremony and were joined by members of the Nike Skateboarding China team, including top Chinese skateboarder Che Lin as well as Boss Xie, Jeremy Hu, Daniel Jason Leung, Didi Liu and Hu Jinchen. The athletes answered questions from fans, and Koston showed off the second generation of his signature shoe &amp;ndash; the Koston 2. Featuring Lunarlon cushioning and enhanced breathability, durability and fit, the Koston 2 will be available in early April.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="left"&gt;The store mixes unique, artistic elements as well as cultural influences from the city itself to create an authentic, inviting space for the skate community. A table with tools is available for customers to fix their boards, and videos and photos help bring the sport to life throughout the store. Famed Beijing graffiti artist Li Qiuqiu created a unique painting in the store inspired by Nike SB athletes Koston, Paul Rodriguez, Omar Salazar and Che Lin. Brick walls and graffiti manhole covers add strong local flavor to the modern space. Members of the Nike SB team plan to visit the store regularly interact with skate fans.&lt;/p&gt;

As the boot softens up over time, riders can interchange the inserts to maintain the same level of flex that they love.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Additional technology in the Nike Zoom Ites boot includes an ultra-strong Nike Flywire cuff, which holds riders' heels in place allowing themto carve on their edges with confidence. Nike Free-inspired grooves on the outsole enhance boardfeel. Nike Flywire is incorporated into an inner lacing harness delivering strong heel hold with added flexibility as compared to a traditional inner lacing harness. The boot also features a siped forefoot giving added flexibility to the area and delivering maximum boardfeel.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Nike Zoom Ites pays homage to Nike&amp;rsquo;s running heritage with two unique colorways: black/volt and white/ultramarine-infrared, inspired by the original Nike Air 180 running shoe. The yellow element on the outsole is a nod toward the wrap-around airbags found on the original Nike Air 180.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Gino Iannucci and John McEnroe debut the Nike SB Challenge Court</title>

&lt;p&gt;Eschewing the conventional bounds of skateboarding with signature ease and nonchalance, Nike Skateboarding team rider Gino Iannucci retools the Nike Challenge Court sneaker, adapting the &amp;rsquo;84 tennis original for riding the streets&amp;mdash;or pretty much anything.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Aside from some technical tweaks and switching up the color&amp;mdash;from the Challenge Court&amp;rsquo;s original red, white and blue to either white and tennis green or black on black&amp;mdash;Gino kept the revamp minimal. He was originally drawn to the sneaker&amp;rsquo;s simplicity and, in his own words, &amp;ldquo;didn't want to change anything except it slimming down and softening the outsole&amp;hellip;little things like the tongue, the thickness of the interior and the colors&amp;hellip; In my eyes the shoe was ready to go SB back in &amp;rsquo;84.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Back in &amp;rsquo;84, Gino hadn&amp;rsquo;t even begun skating the streets of his native Long Island, New York. It wasn&amp;rsquo;t until about three years later that he began pushing&amp;mdash;around the same time he began playing tennis, which he continues to do up to three or four times a week. Early on, his approach to both sports, and life in general, was influenced by the Challenge Court&amp;rsquo;s original ambassador: John McEnroe, the explosive, controversial and singular tennis legend who not only debuted the Nike shoe but also wore it while competing in and winning the Davis Cup, the Australian Indoor Championship, the Grand Prix Tournament in Tokyo and more.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;"John McEnroe just didn&amp;rsquo;t care and he played with so much emotion," Gino recalls. "He never held back and always spoke his mind. Tennis never saw that attitude until he came around. I admire how he did things his way and didn't conform to anything. He stood for just being yourself, whether good or bad. There&amp;rsquo;s honor in that." Just as McEnroe&amp;rsquo;s influential Nike advertisement proclaimed in the early &amp;rsquo;80s, he was a &amp;ldquo;Rebel with a Cause.&amp;rdquo; Nike taps back into this iconic moment in the debut video for the Nike SB Challenge Court. Shot on the streets of New York City, it features Gino in the shoe, pushing from the renowned Corona Park tennis stadium (also a world-famous skate spot) in Flushing, Queens to Midtown Manhattan, passing and perturbing McEnroe along the way. Continuing to Times Square, Gino recreates the "Rebel with a Cause" poster imagery in its original spot, his determination and drive echoing that of the tennis great.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Just as McEnroe became a legend for paving his own path to greatness, Gino has emerged as a skateboarding legend due to his irreverent approach and inimitable style. He&amp;rsquo;s also more than a little humble, which makes him resistant to the label of "legend," but the definition he provides of one attests to his own seminal status, because it describes him just as much as it does McEnroe: "Legends," Gino says, "are ones who bring something special to whatever they do&amp;mdash;something memorable, where they just stand out naturally for whatever reason."&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Nike SB Challenge Court ramps up the original Challenge Court&amp;rsquo;s stability with a nylon mesh upper trimmed in full-grain leather, an integral arch sock liner and an extended ankle collar. The Variable Width Lacing System&amp;trade; ensures a snug, comfortable fit. And the lightweight Lunarlon sockliner/midsole promises soft but still responsive full-foot cushioning that cuts down impact without giving up board feel. Plus, the two-color, bi-level hobnail cupsole helps skaters grip the deck for premium performance.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

He battled hard on the final day, edging out Hawaiian prodigy John John Florence (HAW), 19, and South American phenom Gabriel Medina (BRA), 18, with last-second heroics on his way to the final.&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;"I'm over the moon," Wilson said. "I got a really good start and my hat goes off to Miguel (Pupo) -- he&amp;rsquo;s deadly. I knew he was going to be hunting those lefts the whole heat and I just tried to apply a bit of pressure on him. He got that 8.93 and was right back in the heat with plenty of time left. There weren't that many opportunities out there but it came down to the last minute and I had to just pray there wasn&amp;rsquo;t one behind it."&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;On the women's side, Lakey Peterson (USA), 17, defeated Carissa Moore (HAW), 19, to clinch the final event of the 2012 ASP Women&amp;rsquo;s World Championship Tour season, the Nike US Open of Surfing, in front of a capacity crowd at Huntington Beach.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;"I don&amp;rsquo;t even know what to say &amp;ndash; I&amp;rsquo;m speechless," Peterson said. "The final was really slow and I was pretty bummed because I wish we both could have got some really good waves. I&amp;rsquo;m so stoked and I really wanted to win on a high note."&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Into her first year amongst the women&amp;rsquo;s elite, Peterson capped off her season on the highest of notes, bettering last year&amp;rsquo;s runner-up finish at the event where she competed as a wildcard.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;"I've been staying calm and sticking to my game plan," Peterson said. "I haven&amp;rsquo;t been letting anything else faze me and I&amp;rsquo;ve been staying focused and going out and surfing and having a really good time. I've loved every minute of this event, and it's been great."&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Anchored by the world&amp;rsquo;s largest professional surfing competition, the US Open is a pivotal point on the ASP World Tour for both the men and women. For the men, a win at the US Open &amp;ndash; a North America ASP Men&amp;rsquo;s Prime event - will earn them valuable points toward a coveted Top 32 world ranking.&amp;nbsp; And for the women, the US Open marks the final stop on the 2012 ASP World Title Tour.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Nike will also bring the premiere Damn Am contest series to the event. Damn Am HB will be the first street skateboarding contest to hit the US Open in years and will host the world&amp;rsquo;s most talented amateur skaters, who will all be vying for a spot at the prestigious Tampa Am skate contest.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The newest addition to amateur skateboarding&amp;rsquo;s premiere contest series, the Damn Am HB features top amateur skateboarders from around the world like Belgium&amp;rsquo;s Youness Amrani and California&amp;rsquo;s Julian Davidson who will battle it out for premium prizes and qualification for the Tampa AM contest in December. &lt;p&gt;The campaign consists of a series of skate action and interview edits that dropped via Nike Skateboarding&amp;rsquo;s social channels on June 21 during the sports unofficial holiday, Go Skateboarding Day, where skaters from all over the world join together to get out and skate.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In the final installment of the campaign, Nike Skateboarding team riders Paul Rodriguez, Eric Koston, Sean Malto, Alex Olson, Stefan Janoski and Omar Salazar&amp;nbsp;showcase their skills as they skate the streets and parks of Shenzhen, China. &amp;nbsp;With a camera mounted on the skaters chest, the commercial is shot through the athletes point of view and offers a personal take on what it is like to be one of the worlds best skateboarders.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Nike Snowboarding Chosen Sessions contest finale takes place April 1-7 in Montafon, Austria. The Chosen Sessions is a weeklong invitational event that is the culmination for the Chosen Video Crew contest and the Chosen Grassroots Snowboarding events.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Chosen Video Crew contest is a one-of-a-kind, socially-driven competition designed to give action sports crews the opportunity to showcase their style, skill and creativity in order to be chosen for an opportunity of a lifetime &amp;ndash; a chance to travel with the Nike team, while getting access to exclusive Nike products and experiences.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In early 2012, Nike invited snowboard crews of up to four members to film and edit a video, and the crews that generated the most buzz were elevated to semi-finalists. Contest judges narrowed the field down to nine crews, and more than 40,000 votes were cast online to determine the final three. The Chosen Video Crew finalists will fly to the Austrian Alps and compete for the opportunity to live like a pro.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In addition to the Chosen Video Crew contest, a grass roots snowboarding competition took place across Western Europe, North America and China. This contest determined the 10 top amateur riders that would be selected to compete at Montafon and ultimately be crowned the Chosen Grassroots Snowboarding Champion.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A panel of 15 Nike Snowboarding athletes will vote on the three video crew finalists and 10 snowboarding amateurs to crown the champions that will get to live like a pro. As part of the prize package, the champions win $10,000 in cash, Nike product, and a CAT boarding trip to Baldface Lodge in British Columbia with Nike pros, photographers and filmers.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>2012 Tampa Pro presented by Nike SB</title>
      <description>&lt;img alt="Topthree2012pro_large" src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/nikeinc/assets/8756/topthree2012pro_large.jpg?1332730783" /&gt;&lt;p&gt;One of the most authentic and respected events in skateboarding happened this weekend in Tampa, Florida at the Skatepark of Tampa. In it's 18th year, the &lt;a href="skateparkoftampa.com/tampapro"&gt;Tampa Pro&lt;/a&gt; finished with first time winner, Torey Pudwill taking home the top honors and $20,000 prize purse.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Seventeen-year-old Chaz Ortiz took second place and $15,000 for a nearly flawless run in the finals. Following up in third place and earning $10,000 was Sean Malto, the newest edition to the &lt;a href="nikeskateboarding.com"&gt;Nike Skateboarding&lt;/a&gt; team.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Known for bringing together the world&amp;rsquo;s best skateboarders, at one of the world's most famous skateparks, the Tampa Pro and Tampa Am are widely regarded as skateboarding&amp;rsquo;s most pinnacle contests.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Nike Skateboarding professional and two-time winner of the Tampa Pro, Eric Koston said, &amp;ldquo;When a skater comes to compete in the Tampa Pro it&amp;rsquo;s because they want to. The Tampa Pro is the only contest around that is still skater-owned and skater-run and that's why it's so real.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Koston was in town to skate the contest and launch a new video challenge, in tandem with the release of his newest Nike signature colorway, the Red/White Nike Eric Koston 1. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Over the next several weeks Koston and Nike Skateboarding will issue missions for skateboarders to complete and upload to social channels. Koston and Nike Skateboarding will then pick their favorites to highlight, with one winner per mission receiving a special Nike Skateboarding prize pack.&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Nike Surf 'Chosen' winners head to Indonesia</title>
      <description>&lt;img alt="Fus_crew_nike_surf_chosen_contest_large" src="http://s3.amazonaws.com/nikeinc/assets/7700/FUS_crew_Nike_Surf_Chosen_contest_large.jpg?1329353065" /&gt;&lt;p&gt;Beating out 1,800 surf, skateboard and BMX crews and around 1,700 competing entries, the FUS crew from Germany was recently named the winner of Nike Surf&amp;rsquo;s first &amp;ldquo;Chosen&amp;rdquo; video contest launched at the 2011 U.S. Open of Surfing.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Chosen Contest is a one-of-a-kind, socially driven video contest designed to give action sports crews the opportunity to showcase their style, skill and creativity in order to be chosen for an opportunity of a lifetime &amp;ndash; a chance to travel with the Nike team and while getting access to exclusive Nike products and experiences.&amp;nbsp;The contest launched in June 2011 with the &lt;a href="http://nikeinc.com/news/the-chosen-campaign-launches"&gt;global &amp;ldquo;Just Do It&amp;rdquo; campaign&lt;/a&gt; featuring a host of action sports stars including skate legend Paul Rodriguez (P-Rod), Olympic snowboarder Danny Kass and surf prodigies Julian Wilson and Laura Enever.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Contest judges narrowed the field down to nine crews, and more than 75,000 votes were cast online to determine three finalists. A panel of 28 Nike athletes voted on the final to select the champion.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As part of the prize package, the FUS crew recently flew to Indonesia to live like pros with the Nike Surf team. Check out their journey in the video below. The package also included VIP passes to the 2012 U.S. Open of Surfing, Nike product and $40,000 in cash.&lt;/p&gt;
